Meet Dr. Bryan I. Pope

Dr. Bryan Pope left his Midwest roots to attend and graduate from Boston University School of Dentistry in 1996. After completing one year of a hospital-based residency, Dr. Pope opened a private practice focused on providing the highest level of comprehensive dental care. While in private practice, Dr. Pope’s interest in and aptitude for periodontics and dental implants began to grow, and he made the difficult decision to leave private practice and pursue specialty training.

In 2001, Dr. Pope graduated from the periodontal/implant graduate residency program at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. While there, he earned his master’s degree and completed several dental implant studies with some of the world’s leading clinical researchers. He received the California Society of Periodontists’ Research Award for his research on dental implants. Dr. Pope joined Peninsula Periodontal Associates in the summer of 2001.

Dr. Pope is a board-certified periodontist and an expert at the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease, as well as the reconstruction of lost teeth through the use of dental implants. He is involved in ongoing dental implant research and development of new technologies. Dr. Pope employs the latest in 3D imaging and CAD/CAM technologies to perform precise and predictable implant reconstruction. He lectures on these technologies and the superior outcomes they can provide.

Dr. Pope is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, American and California Dental Associations, California Society of Periodontists, Western Society of Periodontology, Institute for Dental Implant Awareness, Society of Contemporary and Progressive Periodontics, and San Mateo County Dental Society.

Dr. Pope most enjoys spending time with his wife Julie and their three children. He also enjoys the hiking, golfing, skiing, and cooking.
